New Year's Eve at Georgetown Legion | Monday December 31, 2018

We are heading back to the Georgetown Legion, Br. 120 for our 5th NYE celebration at this Legion. With just 9 tickets left for sale, best to buy yours now! The address 127 Mill St., in Georgetown. It will be a Sparkle Holiday Dance. Dress to Impress. Doors open at 6:45pm and dancing from 7:30pm to 11:30pm. It will be the George Lake BIG Band and Little Peter and the Elegants returning to bring you terrific music from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. Visit their website at www.georgelakebigband.com. The band is returning for a 4th year to the Central Park Band Shell, 2299 New St. in Burlington for a free 90 minute concert beginning at 7:30pm. This is part of the Summer Concert Series organized by the City of Burlington. We hope you will come out to the Mississauga SportZone at 5600 Rose Cherry Place, beside the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. It will be the largest show in Mississauga for all makes and years of vehicles. The event takes place from 9:00am to 4:00pm, rain or shine, and the band will perform from 11:00am to 12 noon and 1:00pm to 2:00pm.  Admission is $20 per vehicle and spectators get in for free. Toronto Swing Dance Society's Friday Night Swing DanceFriday January 12, 2018

The Toronto Swing Dance Society has invited the band to return for a special dance. There will be a DJ on the breaks, with dance styles ranging from East Coast Swing to West Coast Swing and even a little Latin, Hustle and Country 2Step. It will take place at the Lithuanian House, 1573 Bloor St. W., east of Keele St. and west of Dundas St. W. It is one block west of the Dundas West subway station, on the south side of Bloor St. Parking is available until midnight on Bloor St. and on the side streets. The Lithuanian House has its own Green P parking lot 50 yards north of Bloor St. on Dorval Rd. The cost at the door is most likely $10.00 for TSDS members and $15.00 for non-members. Doors open at 7:30 and there will be dancing from 8:00 to midnight.  A large wooden dance floor! Founded in 1989, TSDS is Canada’s longest-running and largest Swing Dance group.
