Dancing for The Compass | Saturday January 31, 2026
This fund-raising event is now in its 19th year! We return to the Port Credit Legion, Br. 82 (upstairs), 35 Front St. N. in south Mississauga. An elevator is available. Tickets are $40.00/person and fewer than 100 tickets are left to buy! Included is a snack buffet prepared by the Options Mississauga Culinary Program at 9:00pm. We will offer reserved seating. Doors open to the upper hall at 7:00pm, the band plays from 8:00pm to 12:00am. The bar accepts cash, debit and credit. Free coffee and tea. Fabulous raffle prizes-bring extra cash! The band is returning to the RC Legion, Br. 36 in the Town of Dundas, for an 11th year celebrating Valentine's Day. The Legion offers a large dance floor. Everyone is welcome. We will be upstairs and an elevator is available. The Legion is located at 280 King St. W. in Dundas, near Hamilton. Snacks will be provided. Doors open at 7:00pm, dancing starts at 8:00pm. The band has been invited to perform at Benares Historic House, 1507 Clarkson Rd. N. in Mississauga from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. This series of free outdoor concerts is organized by Friends of the Museums of Mississauga. Donations generated through the concerts go to support the artists as well the busing programmes so the children, youth and adults may enjoy the benefits of the Museums. Light refreshments are available for cash only. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs. A cash only collection is taken at intermission and the suggested donation is $10 per person. Flinton Festival | Saturday August 1, 2026
This Festival is to celebrate the Town of Flinton and the 50th Anniversary of the Flinton Rec Club from 11:00am to 4:00pm. It takes place at the Flinton Community Centre, 72 Edward St. in Flinton, 20 minutes north of Tweed. The band will perform three sets.There will be food and a beer tent. This successful event returns to Le Tréport Wedding and Convention Centre,1075 Queensway East in Mississauga. We return to the large Trillium Ballroom with a large dance floor! It is just east of Cawthra Road, on the north side. It will be the George Lake BIG Band and Little Peter and the Elegants returning to bring you terrific music from many decades. Visit their website at www.georgelakebigband.com. Lots of free parking around Le Tréport and easy access through the front door, including an accessibility ramp. Doors will open at 5:00pm, with reserved seating, 8-10 chairs per table, and spring water in your glasses. The hot buffet will start at 5:30pm and will be announced in the new year. Two bars will be set up and you first buy drink tickets using cash, debit or credit cards. A cash machine is in the lobby. Live music from 7:00pm to 11:00pm with the two bands alternating sets, using two stage areas. Tickets are $70.00/person, reduced to $65.00/person until January 15 2026.
